Damp & Timber Reports for potential property buyers of any building:
This type of report is what potential home buyers may be asked for when buying a property. If your surveyor/valuer has found a problem with either dampness or timber decay a damp and timber report maybe requested.
We provide a complete inspection of the property, included in the report will be a quotation for any Damp, Timber decay or Insect attack treatments and associated works that might be needed if any defects are found during the inspection process.

- Inspection of the external elevations of the property for defects that could be causing dampness and timber decay.
- Internally we will move furniture and lift floor coverings in areas of concern that could be at risk of either timber decay or insect attack (with the owner’s permission).
- Inspect all internal roof timbers for signs of timber decay, insect attack and dampness.
- Any internal walls will be inspected for signs of dampness to ensure a complete report is carried out of all the internal fabric of the building.
- Provide a fixed price quotation for any works found during the inspection, this can also help when in the negotiating stages of a property purchase.
- Our damp & timber reports are usually provided within 5 working days from the date of the inspection.
If any defects are found during the survey process then these are highlighted in the report and recommendations are also included, i.e. defects to roof fabric, lead work and other issues that we do not quote for.
When needed technical CAD drawings will be included to help in the specification of any treatments to be carried out.
